Countrified and Pretty – Suffolk wedding florist
Last weekend I had the privilege of creating some floral delights for a wedding right on my doorstep, the village Stonham Aspal in Suffolk, where my workshop is located. The bride Laura had so many beautiful ideas, she wanted a natural, countrified harvest feel using flowers which were soft, pretty, delicate and gorgeous.
I created flower crowns for Laura and her eight bridesmaids, and a floral arch in the church. Earlier in the year Laura came to my workshop and I taught her how to make a bridal hand tie and so Laura and her maids made their own bouquets for the big day. I thought this was a lovely touch, as it meant amongst all the busyness the day before, Laura and her maids were able to spend a couple of hours enjoying some time together and being creative. After all, planning a wedding should be fun!
