The Humble Buttonhole
I felt inspired to write a blog about the humble buttonhole. The often under-stated part of the wedding flowers, yet the flowers that help to link all the bridal party together. The buttonhole is small in size but is often the focal area on the wedding suit.
There are so many choices, depending on the season and the style. What I really love at the moment is creating a bundle of little flowers; there are so many different flowers and foliage available. I love putting flowers together with contrasting textures and shapes. I love making buttonholes that go with the season, spring buttonholes with flowers such as ranunculus and muscari, autumn buttonholes with berries, summer buttonholes with delphinium and daisies, or winter buttonholes with thistles and white roses. So many choices!!
So be inspired!
